Larsen Development named 2019 MAME finalists for two homes

From modern to Tudor we have it all!

LARSEN ANNOUNCED AS FINALIST IN 2 CUSTOM HOME AWARD CATEGORIES, AND 1 PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD CATEGORY.

Every year when we think about what homes we should submit into the MAME (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence) awards we often think about the families who live in these homes and why they decided to build a home that is catered exactly to their taste. This year was a special year for us because we had so many contenders it was hard to narrow it down. Our amazing photographer, Eric Lucero did a fabulous job really getting the essence of these houses.

We ended up as finalists in two categories, Interior Design of a home under 5000 square feet and Custom Home of the Year. This traditional Tudor, set in the heart of Wash Park offers a perfect mix of spaces to work from home, raise a family, and throw a great party! The front of the house provides a formalized work environment with French pocket doors separating the entertainment zone. Guests entering the home are welcomed by a brick barrel vault leading into a beautiful kitchen, bar, and great room. Stunning fixtures illuminate the Cirrus kitchen cabinets and Weathered Slate island which support the union of Calcutta and Sake slab. Adjoining the kitchen island is a fully equipped bar inspired by the Whiskey Bar at the Stanley Hotel. A dressed up great room is adorned with a custom “mustache” mantel and custom wood beams. Sliding doors connect the great room to the outdoor living space with a perfect flow for guests to mingle. Upstairs features accents of luxury and relaxation, complete with a modern master fireplace, stone bathtub and spacious walk in shower. The basement offers additional space to entertain and a great space to dance with the added touch of a disco ball.

Our second home, was a finalist for Custom Home of the Year. This hidden gem sits on a quiet street on the fringe of Columbine Valley Country Club, creating a luxurious and bold integration of white natural stone, white stucco, and black accents. This home truly brings the universe back into our clients home for their daughter who has special needs. The home fluidly integrates as many elements, in and out, to give her as many experiences as possible from the comfort of home. The home has a movie theater, arcade, casino, bar with wine cellar, gym, outdoor pool, spa, fire pit, life sized chess court, basketball court, and a 700 square foot live in apartment for a future caretaker. This home is fully ADA accessible with an elevator and widened hallways. Upon entering you are greeted by a custom metal railing and a black French cleated wall adorning art by the homeowner. The entry leads into a great room and kitchen with 20’ ceilings and features a full stone wall with linear fireplace, metallic paint and accent wood shelving and beams. The east wing supports a dual master for the owners and their daughter. The accents of black, white, gold, and purple finishes give the home it’s true flair.
