Building Forward During A Pandemic

We know everyone is in a time of uncertainty. Being home due to a government mandated shelter order has been stressful. Larsen Development is deemed an Essential Infrastructure and business  by the Mayor of Denver and because of our call to action, we are doing everything we can to help stabilize and support the economy. We are a small business with only 13 employees, but are grateful to remain open and help to support the 70 plus trade and vendors and the 500 plus employees that our team requires to build your custom home.  With that said, we have put in place many safety precautions to protect and not spread COVID-19  further.

Architectural design is critical for how you live in your homes day in and day out. This is why we love our Design + Build approach and our presold model; designing every space for every client. In our minds, your home program and design should be mendable through time.

Our Architectural Designer, Jim Gunther, is a mastermind when it comes to home design and has over 40 years of experience. He has been taking this time to thoughtfully design spaces that people need. We have several homes that we have built over the years that have the perfect features for times like this when we are in our homes the most. You need a home that can adapt and function fluidly with change.

Our construction team is also out on the front lines working together, from a distance, with our amazing trades and vendors to make sure every detail is taken care of. These individuals are who make Larsen who we are. Each one of our partners understands how critical it is to get things perfect in a Larsen home, and this has been instrumental for us to continue to get our clients into their homes. We continue to be as proactive and ahead of our homes and schedules, and it is proving even more essential in a time where we are trying to limit our time in our homes and having call backs. We value our team internally and externally.

Because of this time working from home, the rest of our team has taken a lot of strides in the past few weeks, as have many of us, when it comes to virtual meetings and connecting with our communities. Just because we are home alone doesn’t mean we can’t be here for each and every one of you. In 2011, I remember sitting at my computer wondering what I could fill my time with during the recession. Instead of taking this slow period, we refined our processes and policies. We didn’t have many homes in the ground but with the diligence and hard work we put in, we were able to grow when the economy picked back up. Home building during that time was an important part of the economy coming back and all of our business booming. In order to not exacerbate the housing shortage, we are still out here doing our best to help the economy recover once again, and after the pandemic is over, businesses will thrive again.

Larsen is  with you. We are here to support Denver, to support our communities, and keep people working safely through these times.  We love building homes for people and their, and look forward to continuing doing so.

Please stay safe during these uncertain times.
