The Devil Is In The Details
Small details really make or break a home. When Larry Larsen founded our company, he knew he wanted to bring a level of luxury to each custom home he built, and that has stayed true to who Larsen is for nearly 2 decades. Precision is key, details are everything, and the right trade base is the secret ingredient to success. Being a design + build firm has given us the liberty to make design changes on site if a client doesn’t feel like something is how they want it. We spend a lot of time understanding how to build while we design, and what the cost implications are for our designs, which is missed in a lot of architectural firms. By the time something gets sent out for bid by a contractor it may be to pricey to bring to fruition with a typical architect to general contractor pipeline.
From the first moment we sit down with a client we talk about detail levels and expectations to make sure that we can design around a particular budget. Being up front with these costs, along with us being completely open book with the financials on a home, allows our clients to add and delete things during the design phase and really understand what costs are along the way.
We have an incredible team that works on the plans of our homes throughout the whole building process. Adding things like outdoor kitchens, and trellis details, fireplace layouts, and ceiling details. Most of our skilled trades are also able to create built to suit spaces by looking at a space and adding input. Many times, we are onsite when inspiration strikes and we are able to design a built-in bunk-bed room, slatted walls for hanging pictures, or gorgeous ceiling details that accentuate a room that truly make a home one of a kind.
A big part of Larsen’s Core Values is our integrity and if something isn’t right, we fix it. It is important to us that our work is right and we have been known to re-brick an entire house if we don’t feel like it has been done correctly. Loving what you do and putting a gorgeous product into the world means everything to our team.
